Václav Hudeček celebrated the twenty-fifth anniversary of his music academy in Luhačovice. At the closing Gala Concert he announced the names of this year's winners. Milan Kostelenec, a newcomer to the academy, became the Discovery of the Year. However, the main prize went to eighteen-year-old Marek Pavlica. "The feelings are amazing, it is an incredible honour for me. Not everyone is lucky. I'm really looking forward to the concerts with Mr. Hudeček," said the talented Marek Pavlica, who has music in his blood - his father is the composer and Hradistan's principal musician Jiří Pavlica.

The young Pavlica was rewarded, among other things, with a masterful house from a producer in Mladá Boleslav. "The violin is already in such a new condition that it can be played in concerts, although of course it is still being tuned. They play all the better in two or three years. So we are happy that we have acquired this violinist," said violin virtuoso Václav Hudeček.

Marek Pavlica is looking forward to using the instrument because it would be a shame not to play such a violin. The award was also presented to him by Radim Holiš, the governor of the Zlín Region, who was at the academy's concert for the first time, together with Václav Hudeček. "Mr. Hudeček is a great personality and it is a great opportunity for young artists to learn something from him. For us, as music lovers and lovers of good experiences and emotions, it is a great opportunity to see him working with young people," said Radim Holiš, the governor of the Zlín Region.

Although the Gala Concert marks the end of the Academy for this year, the organizers are already beginning preparations for next year. They are planning the twenty-sixth edition again for August, in the first two weeks of the month.
