In winter, Luhačovice offers peace and quiet, wellness, and sports activities. The spa park under the snow has a special atmosphere.

We have to admit that outdoor winter activities have been on the decline in recent years—this is a global trend, and Luhačovice is no exception. Even so, we believe that we’ll still see winters when the Luhačovice Reservoir freezes over enough to safely skate on it, and when there will be snow again on the local ski slope. Until that happens, winter in Luhačovice offers plenty of other opportunities.

Downhill and Cross-Country Skiing

When snow conditions are favorable, there is a ski slope with a lift right in Luhačovice. In the White Carpathians region, groomed cross-country ski trails are created when there is enough snow. For downhill skiing enthusiasts, the larger ski resorts with downhill runs are located in the Beskydy Mountains—Pustevny, Bílá, Razula, Soláň, and Velké Karlovice. They’re about 70–120 km away, making them ideal for a day trip by car.
