How will the Advent Wanderings take place? "Just pick up a card at MTIC that has 24 boxes on it. Each one has a designated place where a task is described. In some places you can get a stamp, in others the children fill in the box by answering the task," explained Terezie Bartoníčková of MTIC.
One of the tasks on the card is to cut out an angel, which is available at the library, or children can create their own. "We have two Christmas trees in the information centre where children can hang their angels with their wishes written on them. We are really looking forward to this," Bartoníčková added, adding that children can sing carols, play board games, prepare food for the birds or try orienteering.
Christmas and the events associated with the most beautiful holiday of the year begin in Luhačovice on Friday, December 1. Today in the early evening, the Christmas tree will be lit in front of the town hall and a fair with an accompanying programme will begin, where the mayor's tea will be sold, the proceeds of which will go to charity.
"The lighting of the Christmas tree on the first weekend of December will be accompanied by a laser and drum show or a film screening in front of the town hall. Children can also look forward to seeing St. Nicholas and his entourage and this year there will also be a devil's disco," said Luhačovice spokeswoman Hana Srncová.
On Tuesday, December 5, St. Nicholas and his entourage will arrive in Luhačovice in a carriage. The whole evening will be enlivened by a devil's disco.

Luhačovice wants to protect its historical centre
The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core. The measure is intended to temporarily protect architecturally valuable sites from unregulated construction until the new zoning plan comes into force. The building closure is to apply to the spa colonnade or Jurkovič Avenue towards the Luhačovice dam. In other locations, on the other hand, the city is ready to support new construction.
