Christmas Benefit of the Korunka Korunka helped the needy with 560 thousand crowns

"It has been more than 20 years since we started actively helping those who need it most in the Zlín Region. We greatly appreciate the support and financial contributions from our long-time partners, donors and companies that trust us." said Veronika Crha Záhorská, founder and chairwoman of Korunka Luhačovice.

During the gala evening, several exceptional artists took the stage in Luhačovice, including singers Jitka Zelenkova, Petra Hapková, Italian singer Davide Mattioli and violinist Marco Cano. The moderator role was taken by the priest Marián Pospěcha.

During the gala evening, Korunka Luhačovice presented a cheque for 325 thousand crowns from the charity auction to the village of Česká Ves, which was one of the most affected by the September floods. Another cheque worth CZK 50,000 was received on behalf of the Uherské Hradiště Hospital by its director Petr Sládek. The amount of 35 thousand crowns was given to the Luhačovice Volunteer Fire Brigade, which together with Korunka tirelessly helped during this year's floods, and 150 thousand crowns were handed over by Korunka to three specific families who are caring for their loved ones.

"We select and consult with experts very carefully the needy whom we try to help financially or materially. This year was again an exceptional evening full of emotions, powerful stories and meeting amazing people. At the end, the whole hall was dancing," smiled Veronika Crha Záhorská.

The Korunka helps charity project operates in the Zlín and Olomouc regions and is represented by the Korunka Luhačovice and Korunka Velké Losiny associations, which organize a number of charity and fundraising events, the proceeds of which support the needy, especially specific children and socially vulnerable families. During its existence, Korunka has redistributed financial aid worth tens of millions of crowns.
