In addition to an outdoor exhibition focused on love poetry of the 1930s called Forgotten Verses, another chamber exhibition will grace the streets of Luhačovice in May. We are talking about poster visualizations of new design boxes and feeders, created by students of the Secondary School of Arts and Crafts in Uherské Hradiště. Several exhibition panels depict the creations of students and pupils of the SUPŠ in Uherské Hradiště, the Velehrad Primary School and the ZUŠ in Uherské Hradiště, which were placed on the Bird Feeder and Birdhouse Route in 2020 and 2021.

The unique project dedicated to songbirds called the Route of Artistic Bird Feeders and Birdhouses was created by the Luhačovice birdwatching association Calma. The route was inaugurated in May 2013 and since then this original open-air gallery has been growing steadily. Originally, 46 unique birdhouses were on display. Today, the number has almost doubled. The authors of the individual bird houses are not only various amateur enthusiasts and students of local schools, but also renowned architects and artists. One of them, for example, is the author of the whole "bird" idea - the painter František Petrák.

The current exhibition of poster presentations was realized by the Luhačovice fencing association Calma with the support of the Pramen Luhačovice Foundation. It will be on display at the spa colonnade until Monday 31 May.

Luhačovice wants to protect its historical centre

The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core. The measure is intended to temporarily protect architecturally valuable sites from unregulated construction until the new zoning plan comes into force. The building closure is to apply to the spa colonnade or Jurkovič Avenue towards the Luhačovice dam. In other locations, on the other hand, the city is ready to support new construction.
