The Elektra Luhačovice Municipal House of Culture is cancelling a number of planned performances as a result of the state emergency measures due to the coronavirus epidemic.

An emergency measure issued by the Ministry of Health bans cultural, sporting and similar events with one hundred or more participants from 6pm on Tuesday 10 March. Already today, people cannot come to Elektra to see the planned Hradistan concert, and other programmes are also cancelled.
The situation was described by Hana Slováková, the director of the Elektra City Cultural Centre.
"This is an extraordinary and unexpected situation, so we ask the public for understanding and patience. However, people certainly do not have to worry about losing money for tickets they have already paid for. We are trying to resolve everything promptly. For performances planned in the near future, either alternative dates will be found in the future or the entrance fee will be refunded directly," Slováková outlined. The situation is also evolving with regard to who is organising the event. "Although the programmes were supposed to be held at our venue, in most cases we are not the organiser of the event, but only the venue hirers. Therefore, the solution may differ for individual events," Slováková pointed out. She added that in some cases, tickets for Elektra programs are also sold through the Ticketportal network, so any refunds for these tickets are also governed by the rules of this company (see www.ticketportal.cz.).
The current situation with the next big events at Elektra that were cancelled on the scheduled dates is as follows:10.3. Hradistan - alternate date to be determined, tickets remain valid
11.3. Kafe u Osmanyho - tickets are refundable
13.3. Miroslav Donutil - alternate date to be determined, tickets remain valid
17.3. Partička - alternate date to be determined, tickets are valid

The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core. The measure is intended to temporarily protect architecturally valuable sites from unregulated construction until the new zoning plan comes into force. The building closure is to apply to the spa colonnade or Jurkovič Avenue towards the Luhačovice dam. In other locations, on the other hand, the city is ready to support new construction.
