Felix Slováček will come to the May Opening of the Springs

The main spa season and the arrival of spring in Luhačovice will also symbolically start this year with a two-day festival known as the Opening of the Springs. The programme will traditionally be based on the Sunday dedication of the springs, a weekend fair, a vintage car parade and you can also look forward to concerts and theatre performances.

"We are currently working hard on the cultural programme, which will once again be very varied. I can now promise that once again the traditional parade of historical costumes will not be missing. And we are happy to boast that the Czech clarinetist, saxophonist, composer and conductor Felix Slováček has accepted our invitation to celebrate his 80th birthday.

Another special guest of the celebrations will be Ondřej Provazník, who will sing hits by Karel Gott. "With a beautiful and, above all, high-quality remembrance of the irreplaceable master and celebration of the birthday of the famous saxophonist, we will worthily open the weekend festival Otevírání pramenů 2023," Ďurďová added.

Opening of the Springs 2023 will take place on the second weekend of May, May 12-14.
