Festival of Song and Dance begins! One of the oldest festivals of children's folklore and culture runs until Sunday

It is already the thirtieth time that Luhačovice and its surroundings will once again ring with song, dance and laughter. As usual, the main role will be played by children, but also by those who know how to have fun together with children. And so this year, from 15th to 18th September, the wheels of the folklore festival of songs and dances will turn again in the unique environment of the Zálesí forest.

On Thursday 15th September, the festival will take place in the unique surroundings of the Zálesí forest. The festival fire will be lit in the evening of September 15th in the premises of the Luhačovice library, which will then accompany all participants through the Friday programme in Pozlovice and through the Saturday programme, including the Village of the Year, until Sunday, when the festival organisers will bid farewell to the guests during the afternoon gala concert.

"The guide for us will be no less than Jan Amos Komenský, to whom the first edition of the festival has just been dedicated. And so we are very pleased that some of the collectives associated with the origins of our festival have accepted our invitation. Maguráčik from Kežmarok, Slovakia, is connected with the first year of the festival," said Přemysl Janík on behalf of the organizing association Kulturní Luhačovice.

Visitors can also look forward to other participants who will come as representatives of other places that Komenský passed through during his pilgrimage through life. "Please accept our warm invitation to the programs we have prepared for you. Come and wander with us. Wander the world, but also the World in Pictures, or the Labyrinth of the World and the Paradise of the Heart," invited folklore lovers Přemysl Janík.

Literary and dramatic evening not only for children - Luhačovice, library building

17:00 - "Come with us to the fairy tale" - puppet show performed by Brod Theatre.

18:00 - "He who creates, does not get angry" - a creative workshop for children, but not only for them.

All the time - "Amos and us" - an exhibition of art and literary works and reading of prize-winning works by pupils of the Mariánské náměstí Primary School in Uherský Brod on the theme of Comenius and me.

19:00 - Lighting of the festival - bonfire to open the festival.
