Hold on to your hats, the Opening of the Springs is about to begin!

Fame starts on Friday, nice and easy, at 2 pm with an interesting guided tour.

"We have called it Továrník Baťa a Luhačovice, which is our way of introducing the founder of the shoemaking fame of neighbouring Zlín, Tomáš Baťa, from a slightly different point of view, namely as a spa guest," says Jarmila Ďurďová, head of the cultural department of the Elektra Congress and Cultural Centre, who will then open the three-day event with a gala opening ceremony in the evening, which will be provided by singer Aneta Langerová.

Luhačovice is expecting a huge accumulation of people especially on Saturday and Sunday. What the heck, Mayor Marian Ležák will have it relatively easy, arriving Saturday afternoon in a whirlwind of events where history and the present will intertwine in a period carriage.

"Well, yes, it does make for a nice tradition of looking at Luhačovice's rich history in a lot of performances, but we have to honor the present even more. We are expecting thousands of people. And so we have again expanded the catch basins and shuttle service and we ask everyone to heed the instructions of the organizers and the traffic police, we want everyone to have a wonderful experience, but we also want to have a good time." makes it clear that these festivities are very dear to the city's heart.

On Saturday, a large fair awaits the many visitors, and there will be many musical performances, including the Luhačovice Girls Saxophone Orchestra with its almost legendary leader and conductor Vladimir Schlimbach.

"But there will also be swing music, folklore, live statues, guests in period costumes parading around, there will be much more. For example, the Luhačovice fringe association Calma will not be missing," adds Ďurďová.

"And as a diversion, there will be the participation of two historical figures, Mr. Tomas Bata and Mr. Masaryk, feel free to get into a conversation with them, they are looking forward to it," reminds Mayor Ležák.

The actual highlight of the event, the opening and consecration of the springs, will then take place on the Spa Square, on the colonnade and in their immediate surroundings.

"It is about the springs Svatý Josef, Ottovka, Dr. Štastného, Nový jubilee and of course Vincentka cannot be missing," invites the CEO of Lázně Luhačovice a.s. Jiří Dědek.
