Hotel Alexandria. How time passed in the Luhačovice icon

Those who believe that the hotel was named after the ancient conqueror Alexander the Great may be disappointed and then delighted by the surprising information. The hotel is named after its architect, Alexander Lozovsky. What is even more surprising is that this beautiful building was given to his wife as a wedding gift.

The hotel began to operate at a very strange time, on the threshold of the Second World War, during the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. In 1939. But this is not so much about historical recollection of the events that the jewel of Luhačovice was charged with and the various social events in all its times. Rather, among other things, it will be interesting to find out who all - and please, only a very cross-section - of the famous and well-known enjoyed here the comfort and luxury always appreciated for their time and today.

As the current director Miroslav Procházka and his long-standing predecessor Miloslava Fialová and other people closely connected with the Alexandria Hotel remind us, the list would be very interesting.

It's also worth noting that in 2010, the Alexandria underwent a costly renovation. The real shine has returned, and what's more, a new building has been added to the existing one. Among other things, it has a large and very popular wellness centre. Of course, the classics remain - that is, the unique French restaurant, the traditional night club, the terrace, the luxurious accommodation and the excellent cuisine.
