The students will work with their tutors in the premises of the primary school and the concerts will take place in the Elektra Cultural Centre, except for two, one of which will be in St. Rodina in Luhačovice and the other in the pilgrimage church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Štípa, which is part of Zlín.
On Monday 27 July, the winners of the XXIII grade, Kateřina Krejčová and Matteo Hager, will perform alongside Václav Hudeček at a gala concert in Elektra. From Tuesday onwards, the eighteen students will be working hard under the guidance of their teachers Václav Hudeček and Professor Jiří Fišer of the Prague Conservatory. In individual lessons, they will work on pieces from the world violin repertoire.
They will then present themselves to the audience at three graduation concerts. Afterwards, a jury consisting of Václav Hudeček, Eva Hudečková , Prof. Jiří Fišer and pianist Lukáš Klánský, who will, among other things, accompany the students in lessons and practice rooms, will select the winners. The main prize is a master instrument worth CZK 100,000 built by master violin maker Jaroslav Kohout.
The instrument was purchased for the winner by a Zlín donor and will be presented to the winner at the Gala Concert on Friday 7 August. The project will take place under the auspices of the Zlín Region Governor Jiří Čunek, with financial assistance from the Zlín Region and the town of Luhačovice.
Eighteen students from all over the country will be attending this year's event. There will be 10 boys and 8 girls,
3 students are from the Zlín Region, the youngest is 14 years old and the oldest is 25 years old.
This year tickets for individual concerts are not on pre-sale, they will be sold one hour before the concert starts at the venue.
