In Luhačovice again to the cinema, exhibition or evenings with live music

"Going to the cinema is for many people a pleasant diversification of their stay in Luhačovice and last year we even recorded an all-time record in attendance. Therefore, I believe that there will be renewed interest in our cinema again. The performances will of course be held in compliance with all hygienic rules for this type of events, such as the placement of disinfection or the occupation of seats in the hall only in the required spacing," noted the director of Elektra, Hana Slováková. The first performance will take place in the Elektra cinema on June 2 at 7:30 p.m., starting with the popular comedy "Chlap na střídačku" (A Man on the Take turns) with Ivana Chýlková, Jiří Langmajer, Iva Janžurová and other actors.

"The other films are also of the comedy genre, because that is the one our visitors like the most. Among this year's premieres, in addition to the already mentioned film, our viewers can also enjoy the comedy Bourák, starring the great Ivan Trojan. From other films, visitors to our cinema will surely enjoy, for example, The Owners or The Last Aristocrat," said Slováková.

In addition to the cinema, people can also visit an exhibition or an evening of live music in Luhačovice in June. "The Elektra Gallery is showing an exhibition of oil paintings by the award-winning painter František Kubina, who among other things is the winner of the Savador Dalí World Prize, until 18 June. The Museum of the Luhačovice Woods in the building of the House of Culture and the art gallery next to the Vincentka Hall are also open," said Terezie Bartoníčková, an employee of the Elektra information centre. Many visitors to Luhačovice traditionally appreciate the opportunity to enjoy live music. "This weekend, the Gull restaurant is starting to play, and the Elektra restaurant has resumed music evenings on all days of the week. The Alexandria Hotel club is also playing again," Bartoníčková noted. Of course, everything is adjusted to the current requirements. The programmes are varied, for example, Alexandria offers a Moravian evening with the Vincúch dulcimer music, an evening of famous melodies of popular music with pianist J. Jareš or a Dixieland evening in the first week of June.

The popular Luhačovice colonnade concerts should also start soon. "The first of them will take place on 14 June and gradually we want to return to the normal regime of two colonnade concerts a week," confirmed the cultural manager of Lázně Luhačovice, a.s. Hana Felcmanová. According to the current possibilities, the Luhačovice Spa is trying to start other cultural events such as various theatre performances or dance evenings with brass band as soon as possible. But everything is of course linked to the release of government regulations concerning larger events and their course. However, this summer, the spa town should also not miss the renowned Violin Academy V, for example. Hudeček and the associated festival of concerts.

In addition to cultural opportunities, Luhačovice also offers the public various types of sports activities. For example, the tennis courts in the spa area or the Municipal swimming pool with an indoor pool, which opened on 25 May, are in operation. In June, the outdoor swimming pool Duha above the Luhačovice dam should also open, which, however, already falls within the cadastre of the neighbouring town of Pozlovice. According to the announcement on the official website of Pozlovice, the opening of this aquapark is planned for 1 June, subject to suitable weather conditions.
