"Our city is not yet affected and I perceive that most people have responsibly protected themselves and others from possible transmission of the disease. To ensure that everyone does so, we urge citizens to comply with the measures announced by the Zlín Region today. Compliance with the wearing of the veils will be checked by the municipal police during their patrols," said Mayor Marian Ležák.

The city is also coordinating the production and distribution of veils sewn by volunteers. It is gradually equipping those who, as part of their employment, must necessarily come into contact with other people in some way or work in public spaces. This is how the drapes were given to local authority workers, post office workers, policemen and shop cashiers. Among others, the employees of the Technical Services of Luhačovice were also equipped with the balaclavas.
