In the local part of Kladná Žilín, Bánov amateur theatre performers played

During the Saturday morning the area was transformed into an "open-air theatre hall". Not only the organizers were involved in the preparations, but also hunters and some firefighters helped the girls in the event, especially with providing seating and also with vacuuming and cleaning the area. We appreciate their help and thank them very much.

At 3 p.m., everything was already perfectly prepared and we were waiting for the arrival of the theatre people. The sky, which had been cloudless until then, suddenly didn't look so perfect. However, no one was discouraged and the actors started preparing the scenery and sound equipment, hoping that the storm would pass us by. Unfortunately, even here in Kladno we can't yet beat the wind or the rain, and so within a few minutes our prepared area was under water. There was also hail, and so the rescue of the most important and expensive things began, so as not to damage them.

The scheduled start of 5.30 pm was approaching and the first spectators from across the country were arriving at the Fairgrounds. This gave us the impression that there was genuine interest in the show. No one was watching on their mobile phones, other than to see which way the storm was moving, whether the next one would come and when the rain would stop. And so the deliberation began as to whether to wait and postpone only the beginning, or cancel and reschedule. But everything was ready, people were looking forward to it, so we didn't want to just give up.

So the first decision was made - the show will go on, just an hour later. No sooner had we agreed to the proposal than the power went out. What now? "We're not even having that beer on tap anymore," came from the crowd. Fortunately, the power came back on after a while and we said - now or never! And since we have a new working public address system in the village, we didn't hesitate and immediately announced that the theatre performance would take place at 6.30pm under the roof.

And as we found out just minutes after the announcement, it was the best decision we could have made. People headed towards the Fairgrounds, and in the end more than 100 people gathered, both locals and from surrounding communities. This made not only the organizers very happy, but also the actors, who were surprised by the large number of spectators and praised the audience very much.

A huge thank you to all involved, because mutual support is the most important thing!

It should be noted what a wonderful function was fulfilled by the shelter built opposite the stage, thanks to which the whole theatre could be performed under it. The actors created a great atmosphere with their professional performances, the audience had fun, laughed and the mood was good. Even the rain finally stopped. Satisfaction of the participants, both the audience and the actors, was the best reward for the organizers.

Finally, we can thank the Pod lampú Bánov Theatre Association for such an amazing performance, their patience while waiting for the weather to calm down, and especially their willingness to play in the end even in temporary conditions.

Saturday evening can be evaluated as a very successful one. Not everything always works out as expected, but there is a lesson to be learned from every situation and the main thing is to look for the positives behind everything. Therefore, the only thing that is certain after Saturday's experience is that there is interest in events of this nature and this is the best motivation to think about the next idea.

The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core.
