Infection in Luhačovice ORP is not increasing, disinfection of bus stops helps prevention

In order to keep the situation favourable, Luhačovice is still managing to increase various measures to minimize the possibility of possible transmission of infection. For a week now, the Technical Services have been disinfecting exposed public places, among other activities.

"We are disinfecting benches that are outside or at bus stops, as well as various railings in exposed places, such as the post office. The bus stops are being disinfected not only in Luhačovice itself, but also in the local districts of Kladná Žilín, Polichno and Řetechov," noted Josef Pučalík, the director of TS Luhačovice. He added that parking meters, for example, are treated similarly with disinfectant spray. "In total, we have already used 50 litres of the solution for these measures. The disinfectant is diluted for these purposes so that it is still effective, but it is sufficient for larger areas. We have enough of the product for the next few days," Pučalík added. As he added, all TS employees also observe increased hygiene measures. "They are equipped with masks and disinfectant, gloves and they do not stay at the headquarters, only when necessary," mentioned the director of TS Luhačovice.

Various other measures are also being introduced in the town to minimise the possibility of disease transmission. For example, the Albert supermarket and Dr. Max pharmacy have introduced barriers to protect cashiers. The city is also calling on tenants' and homeowners' associations to focus on regular disinfection of common areas in their buildings, especially door handles, railings and the like.

Across the Zlín region, according to morning information from the Regional Sanitary Station, as of 9 a.m. Monday, there are a total of 128 cases of the disease, of which 15 are infected in the Kroměříž district, 74 in the Uherské Hradiště district, 11 in the Vsetín district and 28 in the Zlín district.
