"In March, we were supposed to welcome 10 children who were born in November and December 2019. At the beginning of June, we were scheduled to welcome children who were born already this year. Although everything was ready and we were looking forward to welcoming the smallest citizens to the town hall, we had to postpone everything unplanned," said Jana Homolková, head of the administrative department. She added that she is pleased that there is still great interest from parents to hold this ceremony. "We are pleased to receive information from parents that they understand the current situation, are looking forward to it and will wait for a more suitable date. We do not yet know the specific date of the welcome ceremony, but we anticipate that the welcome ceremony for these children will take place in the month of September. We will inform all parents who have submitted a completed application form about the specific date well in advance," Homolková added.

She also added that, due to some questions from residents, the condition for welcoming the new citizens is the permanent residence of the citizen and at least one of the legal representatives in Luhačovice.

Mayor Marian Ležák is also looking forward to officially welcoming more citizens.

"The welcoming of new citizens is a joyful event that is very popular with our citizens. I am happy that we will be able to prepare new dates and at the same time I look forward to further meetings together," said the mayor
