For example, the building of the Luhačovice Spa Inhalatorium. It has been almost a hundred years since the original one was demolished and replaced by a magnificent palace designed by the Čáslav architect Josef Skřivánek. By the way, there are many more of his signatures in the very centre of spa events. Which is also not so much known...
The building stands opposite the tennis courts and the Ottovka gazebo, one of the local symbols. It too, like the clubhouse in the tennis complex, is the work of Skřivánek.
One of the largest healing facilities in the local spa is fed by Jan's spring and also by Vincentka, the best that is available is inhaled, and specific baths are used in the Inhalatorium to restore health. The building will soon, it is said, celebrate its centenary, this year it is exactly twenty years since the last great reconstruction.
When you run across the park and over the bridge over the Juice River, you are at the source of the aforementioned Ottovka. It has had its time in recent years, and the people of the Luhačovice Spa have had to put a lot of thought and work into satisfying the demanding health inspectors and getting the famous Ottovka back into operation. Without it, it wouldn't have been quite the same.
It's only a few steps to Dr. Veselý Street. A pedestrian zone and the perfect link between the spa proper and the urban agglomeration. This is where the streams of pedestrians roll in, where they sit in the gardens, and here is also a very interesting reminder of all who honored Luhačovice with their visit, for example in the times of the First Republic, but also later. Just a random sample: Vlasta Burian, Adina Mandlová, Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, Karel Čapek, Edvard Beneš, Joža Uprka, Jan Werich, Oldřich Nový. And many many others. Which proves the importance and fame of the largest Moravian spa in the past.

Luhačovice wants to protect its historical centre
The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core. The measure is intended to temporarily protect architecturally valuable sites from unregulated construction until the new zoning plan comes into force. The building closure is to apply to the spa colonnade or Jurkovič Avenue towards the Luhačovice dam. In other locations, on the other hand, the city is ready to support new construction.
