Luhačovice advance to the semifinals of the regional cup

Assistant coach Martin Bernátek gave an overview of the game.

"We were better in the first half, we just lacked the final pass to get into some good chances. It came at the end of the half, when Pavlicek got in front of the opponent's goal, but he was a bit too slow, so the opponent's goalkeeper defused the shot. In the second half we made a substitution to strengthen the attack, Zámorský came on. Within a few minutes we got a good chance when Stepan Cervenka went alone on goal and converted. That was a reassuring goal for us. But we had problems around the 70th minute when two of our players had to be substituted due to cramps. The opponent pressed a bit, but after ten minutes we took over the game again. In the end the opponent opened up their defence and with that our chances increased. Marek Polách added another goal. The second goal was decisive, then it was all over, Štěpán Červenka then added a third goal," Bernátek described.

He appreciated the commitment of the whole team.

"I would like to thank the boys for their performance, because they approached the match very responsibly, unlike the previous cup match. Thanks to that, the whole match was in our control," Bernátek praised his teammates.

Thanks to the win, the team and Luhačovice fans can look forward to the semifinal match. "Our opponent will be Kvasice, but the game will be played in the spring. It's a tough opponent, with whom we recently played in the Regional Championship. After a very long time, the cup match will finally be played on our home ground, so the spectators can look forward to it," concluded Bernátek.
