"We are trying to develop our city of five thousand intensively. The largest share of funding will be for infrastructure renewal, namely 21 million, which is about 43% of the planned investment. We are continuing to gradually reconstruct roads and parking areas, but the most significant investment will be the conversion of the bus station into a modern transport terminal with ecological elements," noted Mayor Marian Ležák.

"Another significant part of the investment will go to education, with almost CZK 10.5 million, which is nearly 22% of the total investment. In connection with the restitution of the castle building, we are facing a difficult move of the ZUŠ and DDM organisations to new premises. The main investment in the field of education will go into the construction of the main building of the primary school and its adaptation for the relocation of the 1st and 2nd grades. At the same time, the school kitchen will be retrofitted in the primary school at a cost of CZK 850 thousand.

Other investments include the revitalization of the green area or support for public amenities in the local districts of Polichno, Řetechov and Kladná Žilín. Societies and non-profit organizations in the field of culture, sports and charity will be supported by individual grants from the budget in the amount of about CZK 3 million.

The rest of the planned expenditures of the city consist mainly of the costs for the operation of contributory organizations and the municipal office. Total projected budget revenues are projected at approximately CZK 137.8 million. The budget is therefore in deficit. The funds that the city will not receive from taxes and other revenues will be covered by reserves from previous years and from a previously closed loan.
