The summer holidays in particular have brought a significant increase in tourist interest in the spa town. The daily number of visitors in July and August reached up to 369 people per day.
"Tourists mostly ask for classic information about the city, tourist attractions, trips to the surrounding area, transport, accommodation and cultural events," said Terezie Bartoníčková, an employee of the information centre.
In addition, demand for souvenirs has increased, especially for liqueur from nearby Vizovice decorated with the town's identity. "Almost 10,000 postcards were sold last year, and there is also increased interest in special products with Luhačovice tematics," Bartoníčková continued.
The Tourist Information Centre also conducted 83 groups on guided tours, a 20% increase over last year. The special guided architectural tours were the most popular. For the fifth year, the "Hurrah Out!" game is now in full swing during the summer months, bringing joy to children and their parents alike.
"This year, the game was enhanced with a new hiking trail that offers nearly 6 miles of adventure and exploration of our beautiful city. For families and young adventurers, this game has become an essential part of summer fun and we look forward to seeing how it will develop in future years," revealed Bartoníčková.
"Overall, we are happy to say that the past year has been full of joy, discovery and smiles. With open arms we enter the new year ready to welcome another wave of curious visitors and provide them with an unforgettable experience of our beautiful city," Terezie Bartoníčková looks forward to 2024.

Luhačovice wants to protect its historical centre
The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core. The measure is intended to temporarily protect architecturally valuable sites from unregulated construction until the new zoning plan comes into force. The building closure is to apply to the spa colonnade or Jurkovič Avenue towards the Luhačovice dam. In other locations, on the other hand, the city is ready to support new construction.
