In 2022, Czech and Slovak were the most frequently heard languages at the Luhačovice City Tourist and Information Centre, while other foreign guests were slower to return to Luhačovice after the covid break.

"Even so, there was interest in German and English materials this season. We have provided our guests with 20,000 different maps, sold 14,000 postcards, most often looking for bus or train connections and handed out countless smiles," explained Terezie Bartoníčková on behalf of the information center clerk.

The Luhačovice "íček" has also expanded its product line Tady pramení Luhačovice, namely sports T-shirts and cycling jerseys. "Promotional images of the new products were taken for us by local athletes and heartthrobs. These were the hot new items under the tree," smiled Bartoníčková, adding that the best-selling items here are, of course, pens, socks, Vincentka and the stalwart - Luhačovická herbal with the town's logo.

For the citizens of Luhačovice, the employees of "íčko" also prepare tickets for senior taxis, copy medical reports or timetables and cooperate with all accommodation facilities in the town.

"We prepare folders with summary information that guests will find in their rooms. We supply the reception with leaflets, maps and fresh news about culture and events in the city and its surroundings at regular intervals. This is also by email," continued Terezie Bartoníčková.

Tourists and spa guests were able to take advantage of an expanded tour offer last year. The most popular was a walk called Here springs the architecture. "From the city centre to the Prague Quarter, our well-read and talkative guides escorted almost 2,000 people," said the information centre's clerk.

The tours Behind the Taste and Smell of Luhačovice, After Mineral Springs and Romantic Evening Walks with Wine Tasting are also on offer. "As part of the benefits for the citizens of the town, we now offer a 20% discount on all tours arranged. Already at the end of the year, a local citizen took advantage of this by inviting colleagues from work to a guided tour," Bartoníčková mentioned.

The Luhačovice Tourist and Information Centre is already preparing new events and souvenirs for visitors and residents of the spa town. A is structuring lists and planning an expansion of the summer games Hurrah Out! and Find, Know, Taste. We look forward to the new year 2023 and expect visitors in at least the same numbers," Terezie Bartoníčková looks forward to the upcoming tourist season.
