Luhačovice Opening of springs is already knocking on the door

After two years marked by the pandemic of covid, the springs in Luhačovice will be opened and lit again. The Opening of the Springs Festival will symbolically open the spa season and the arrival of spring with a three-day celebration that will offer a rich program for the whole family.

The most unexpected moment will be, as usual, the actual dedication of the springs, which will take place on Sunday morning. This will be preceded by a solemn Mass in the Church of the Holy Family. On both days of the weekend, a fair will be held on Dr. Veselý Street, offering delicious delicacies or products of folk craftsmen.

On Saturday, festival-goers can look forward to a stylish promenade in period costumes, a vintage car parade, a ride on vintage bicycles, and for those who want a nice souvenir photo, an Art Nouveau photo studio will be set up on Lázeňské náměstí.

But the list of events doesn't end there. The big attraction will undoubtedly be the Saturday evening concert of Václav Marek and his Blue Star. During both days of the weekend, the Melody Gentemen swing orchestra, the Luhačovice fringe group Calma, the Swing Zlín dance troupe and the Crazy Flappers will appear on stage.

The rich cultural program will also be complemented by performances of folklore, singing and dancing groups, guided tours, workshops, flight demonstrations of birds of prey or theatrical performances, which will dominate Saturday's performance of the Husa na provázku Theatre.
