"In the first season from the launch (27 June) until the end of 2019, the website was used by about 2000 users, with about 4000 visits. Which is remarkable, because that was the number we were hoping for when we were preparing the project - so the goal was met," Petráková said.
She added that by the end of 2019, more than 50 audio player loans had taken place at information centres and the museum.
"This proves that the online option is far more popular than the offline one. Still, we are happy that the audio players are available to those who do not have smartphones," Petráková outlined.
She also pointed out that in addition to the success with visitors themselves, it has also met with a response from the professional public.
"The sound map of Luhačovice also appealed to the jury of the EDEN 2019 competition, which Luhačovice eventually won. Even colleagues from TIC Brno are excited about the project and are interested in cooperation. The sound map was part of the application for the Tourism Grand Prix. We are looking forward to the media attention: the Sound Map has been featured in a report on TVS TV in Slovacce or on iDnes," added Petráková.
It is possible that further success is still to come for the Sound Map.
"On 2 April, ZM will compete in the final of the multimedia category of Prix Bohemia Radio 2020, a showcase of radio production. Keep your fingers crossed for us," concluded Petráková.

Luhačovice wants to protect its historical centre
The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core. The measure is intended to temporarily protect architecturally valuable sites from unregulated construction until the new zoning plan comes into force. The building closure is to apply to the spa colonnade or Jurkovič Avenue towards the Luhačovice dam. In other locations, on the other hand, the city is ready to support new construction.
