Petr Pšenica was born in Hranice in May 1984. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Hradec Kralove in 2009. He gained his first medical experience as a secondary care physician in neurology at the T. Bata Regional Hospital in Zlín.

Already in his early years he began to realize the importance of a comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the nervous and musculoskeletal system. In 2012, he completed a course in myoskeletal medicine, and two years later he successfully completed his specialisation in neurology at the Neurology Clinic of the Bohunice University Hospital in Brno.

Between 2015 and 2018, he held the position of deputy head of the neurology department at the Tomáš Bat'a Regional Hospital. He expanded his scope of competence to include the education of doctors in pre-testing training. In the context of care for patients with multiple sclerosis, he participated in clinical trials of biological therapy.

Since 2018, he joined the Luhačovice Spa as a senior physician. He has passed the certification exam in rehabilitation and physical medicine and is a member of the Society for Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine.

The former chief physician Jiří Hnátek has been the chief physician of the spa since 1985. Although he is handing over the position to Peter Pšenic after 37 years, he will remain at the spa, and will still serve as chief physician at the Palace Hotel.

"PSo, although we are not parting ways, I would like to thank Jiří Hnátek for the many years of his chief ministry, for his exemplary care of our patients, and for his preparation of the professional medical conferences organized by our society. His experience is indispensable for our company," said Jiří Dědek, General Director of Lázně Luhačovice.
