The season can really begin. Although in a more intimate version, but still with all seriousness, the Luhačovice healing springs opened for this year. And in the hall of Vincentka, where this year's act took place, they were blessed by parish priest Jan Ston.

"We are really happy that we have managed to start the season, it was said that it is summer season, but I am convinced that it will be year-round, we have everything ready, so we are looking forward to our guests and our clients," reminded Eduard Bláha, General Director of Lázně Luhačovice.
The hall of Vincentka was full of special guests, hosted by the mayor of the town Marián Ležák, who had the honour to welcome and greet the leadership of the Zlín Region, the governor Radim Holiš, as well as the chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Radek Vondráček.
"We believe that better times are coming. Luhačovice, like all other destinations, really needs them to develop its tourism and its own tourism," everyone agreed.
For the record. The traditional celebration, albeit in a less spectacular version, was held this year with a three-week delay, but the opening of Vincentka, Ottovka, Aloiska and dozens of other springs used in Luhačovice to treat not only the upper respiratory tract failed to stop even such a powerful opponent as the coronavirus.

Luhačovice wants to protect its historical centre
The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core. The measure is intended to temporarily protect architecturally valuable sites from unregulated construction until the new zoning plan comes into force. The building closure is to apply to the spa colonnade or Jurkovič Avenue towards the Luhačovice dam. In other locations, on the other hand, the city is ready to support new construction.
