Luhačovice will light the Christmas tree next Saturday and will attempt an interesting record

The last day of November promises a really rich programme in the spa town. All visitors, big and small, can look forward to the lighting of the Christmas tree, which will be accompanied by the traditional mayor's tea. This year, the proceeds will also go to charity.

"The interest in the Mayor's Tea grows every year, and I believe that we will welcome a high number of visitors this year as well." said the mayor of Luhačovice, Marian Ležák.

This year's novelty, the Convocation of Angels, should contribute to the large turnout. "We invite everyone to help us set a record for the number of angels in the square in front of the Town Hall," continued Ležák.

"We invite all children, parents and grandparents to join us on the eve of the 1st Sunday of Advent for this special event. All angels, big and small, will meet in front of the Elektra Cultural and Congress Centre," added Jarmila Ďurďová, Head of Culture at the Elektra Cultural and Congress Centre.

Participants can wear an angel costume in white or light colour and complete it with at least two of the following props: Angel wings, long hair or a wig, a headband with a halo or glitter in the hair. In addition, each angel will receive an angel medal at City Hall, which will be raffled for attractive prizes.
