"

The current situation is not easy for many parents and pupils, so we are pleased to be able to provide this help. First of all, it is an offer of individual tutoring in mathematics, chemistry, Czech language and foreign languages," outlined the mayor Marian Ležák.

The coordinator of the volunteer help offered by MUNI for Luhačovice is a student of the Faculty of Social Studies Lucie Záhorská "I joined the volunteer program of the university as a student and because I am from Luhačovice I was put in charge of offering our help in the region. We discussed with the mayor what could be the most needed for the citizens at the moment and we agreed that it was the tutoring offer. Many children will not even be heading to school in May, while ninth-graders are expected to take the high school entrance exams. The individual tutoring we offer will be provided by colleagues from the Faculty of Education. Primarily, we want to focus on helping children from primary schools with their studies, but depending on the response, we can also offer help to high school students who are about to graduate," Záhorská said.

She added that people can also get in touch if they need volunteer help in areas other than offering tutoring.

People interested in the tutoring offered can call 731 669 606.

Luhačovice wants to protect its historical centre

The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core.
