The aim of this year's edition is to maintain all the components of the programme that audiences have become accustomed to from previous years - theatre, film, literature, visual arts, performance and music production. However, the organisers are fully aware of the dependence of cultural events on the current epidemic and have therefore arrived at strategic decisions that will accompany this edition. The bulk of the programme will be situated in the public space. With this challenge comes the opening up of undiscovered or normally inaccessible venues and open-air spaces, as well as a deeper connection to familiar places through site-specific performances and installations.
This concept is related to the festival's long-standing concept of working creatively with the historical and traditional heritage of Luhačovice and connecting the city's districts by trying to draw Luhačovice citizens and passers-by to places they don't usually go. The festival director Magdaléna Petráková also commented on the changes. At the same time, however, the festival does not in any way close itself off to visitors from all over theRepublic and abroad."
If anti-epidemic restrictions allow, organizers are also counting on a program sized for low visitor capacity, such as showcase exhibitions or flat theater for 1-10 spectators. In all cases, hygiene measures will be observed and conditions for the safety of participants will be established. Provision for disinfection or testing is also envisaged.
This year's visuals reference a phenomenon that has been typical of recent years, namely remote communication. The graphics are inspired by the framing aesthetic and compositions of the original postcards that used to be sent from the spa. In this case, however, authentic photographs from previous editions are used to entice visitors into the pleasant summer atmosphere of the festival. The author of the visuals, as in previous years, is graphic designer Bára Růžičková.

Luhačovice wants to protect its historical centre
The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core. The measure is intended to temporarily protect architecturally valuable sites from unregulated construction until the new zoning plan comes into force. The building closure is to apply to the spa colonnade or Jurkovič Avenue towards the Luhačovice dam. In other locations, on the other hand, the city is ready to support new construction.
