Further beautification of local parts of Luhačovice continued in Řetechov these days. There, furniture was added to the recently built rest area near the local fire station.

"The local districts are an integral part of Luhačovice and so we are trying to improve them, even though we have to cut back on many other projects due to the current economic situation," Mayor Marian Ležák said.
A total of five new benches were placed in Řetechov on 2 June. Three were placed by the staff of the Luhačovice Technical Services in the rest area. Another bench found a place by the larch tree in front of the local inn and one piece expanded the furniture of the local bus stop. "Approximately CZK 20,000 was spent on the purchase of these benches," noted Josef Pučalík, director of TS Luhačovice.
The efforts of the local government to improve not only the centre of the spa town, but also the outskirts of Luhačovice, are of course not limited to Řetechov. For example, a new municipal public address system has recently been installed in another local part, Kladná Žilín. Now, announcements are made by computer, which allows for digital recording of announcements, timing or remote announcements via mobile phone. The announcements can now also be heard on the Kladnožilín slopes, where there was no radio at all before. It also includes a warning system in case of emergencies. The advantage is that the announcements can be directed to only selected detectors in case the information concerns only a certain part of the village.

The Sun Baths won the prestigious Gloria musaealis award for Museum Achievement of the Year
Sun Spa in Luhačovice celebrates another success! The restoration of the monumental area of the Hydrotherapy Institute won the main prize of the National Museum Competition Gloria musaealis 2024 in the category of Museum Achievement of the Year. The project was entered into the competition by the Museum of Southeast Moravia in Zlín in cooperation with the Luhačovice Spa.
