"When it's over 25 degrees, I have everything rented out, people even call ahead to make sure we'll rent them a pedal boat, inflatable boat or paddleboard. When the days are nice, people pile in, but when it's uglier, the interest is more in pedal boats," said Přemysl Doruška, who runs the Buffet under Vyhlídka, where in addition to offering refreshments, they also rent sports equipment. Those for water are rented for CZK 200 per hour. They really can't complain about the interest. "When it is a nice weekend, 60 people usually rent water stuff in a day, but sometimes it goes up to a hundred," added Doruška. But scooters are also in demand and they also offer them for rent here. "They are in demand even in colder weather. If a customer wants, we can rent a scooter at the dam, he will take it to town and return it to us at our other café "Šnackbudka" in the centre of Luhačovice opposite Alexandria," added Doruška. At the dam, people can also rent boats from the rental shop run by the Pozlovice municipality, scooters or even e-bikes can also be rented at various other places.
People like to ride bikes or roller skates, fish, but children are also attracted by the attractive Pirate's Cove rope centre run by Vladímír Kozubík. This summer, they are not complaining about the interest there either. "When the arrangements were just starting to loosen up, it was weak and the weather was bad, but with the holidays at the beginning of July it got into full swing. The campsite at the dam is full so it's looking good and we may even have more visitors over the holidays than in previous years as people stick around. Kids can either spend 90 minutes at the rope centre for 50 CZK or get a full day pass for 70 CZK. "We get about 20 customers before lunchtime, and then another 40 people from 3 to 6 p.m. What's interesting is that the times are changing; before, we used to get a lot of afternoon visitors from 2:30 p.m., but today the peak is around 4 p.m. We are assured of the various camps that have come here. There are 10-15 of them per summer and such a group of children always adds to the current attendance," Kozubík added. Pirate's Cove, with its many rope obstacles, can be visited daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core. The measure is intended to temporarily protect architecturally valuable sites from unregulated construction until the new zoning plan comes into force. The building closure is to apply to the spa colonnade or Jurkovič Avenue towards the Luhačovice dam. In other locations, on the other hand, the city is ready to support new construction.
