Postcovid or Kawasaki syndrome in children, the importance of vaccination in the pediatric population, including covid-19. These topics will also be covered in 26. Luhačovice Paediatric Days, which has long been one of the most important professional congresses organized by Luhačovice Spa. This year's topics are very topical, especially in view of the current epidemic situation.
This year's theme is vaccination in children, including vaccination for covid-19. At the age of 12 to 15 years, about 30% of children are vaccinated with two doses, which is not enough. In addition, we are still waiting for the approval of a vaccine for children aged five and over. Currently, children are vaccinated mostly in public vaccination centres and at least at their general pediatricians, for example in Brno there is only one doctor," says Hana Hrstková from the Pediatric Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University and University Hospital Brno, who is also the guarantor of the event.
According to Hana Hrstková, it is a better option for children to be vaccinated by their doctors, because they know the child's overall condition, including family history, and can thus better argue to the family about the importance of vaccination.
On the first weekend in November, the Luhačovice Days - a traditional meeting of experts in pneumology - will also take place at the Social House. The 27th edition is organized by the Luhačovice Spa in cooperation with the Czech Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and the Czech Pneumological and Phthisiological Society.
"All events are regularly attended by doctors and nurses from our company, for whom the lectures and experiences of leading experts from all over the country are a welcome source of up-to-date information that they can use in their daily practice," says Jiří Dědek, General Director of Lázně Luhačovice.

Luhačovice wants to protect its historical centre
The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core. The measure is intended to temporarily protect architecturally valuable sites from unregulated construction until the new zoning plan comes into force. The building closure is to apply to the spa colonnade or Jurkovič Avenue towards the Luhačovice dam. In other locations, on the other hand, the city is ready to support new construction.
