Smashes, spasms, lobs and tournament decorations. Tennis Spa Luhačovice cup on underlined one

The championship from last year was defended with his partner Martin Liberda by the father of our long-time tennis number one Martin Berdych. This time, however, the pair from Valašské Meziříčí lost twice and had to settle for the quarterfinals. "There's nothing to be done, it's sport, at least I'll enjoy my son Tomas more at home, he came over with Ester after a really long time," said Berdych Sr.

The tournament is played by certified partners and friends of the Luhačovice spa. Doctors, managers come and women and girls always decorate the tournament. Many of them play really well, for example Olga Sehnalova, the deputy governor of Zlín, reached the quarterfinals with her partner. "I play in Kroměříž, this tournament exceeded my pleasant expectations, great organization and high level. I mean the games and also the wonderful weather," she laughed happily.

The well-known football coach Bohumil Páník made his way to the semi-finals. "If it hadn't been for the fact that my strength was waning at times and I felt like a good footballer, cramping here and there, we could have gone even further, but this is a great achievement," he announced his participation.

An interesting pair and also participants in the quarterfinals were the yellow TV duo Robert Heč from Prima and Josef Kvasnička from Czech Television. "For a guy who doesn't train much, Pepa gave an excellent performance and I have to thank him," praised his colleague and on-screen competitor Heč.

In the final, the pair Sladek, Krenek won over the pair Máčalík, Čada 6:4. "We were beaten, it was a tough match, Pavel supported me in the decisive moments, but I praise my opponent very much," Petr Sládek, otherwise the director of the Uherské Hradiště hospital, was happy with the cup.

The general director of Lázně Luhačovice a.s. Eduard Bláha was equally satisfied. "A great event, thanks to the many collaborators who participated in the organization, our friends are taking away a nice experience, it makes us happy," he added.

"We are looking forward to the next edition," looks forward to the tournament director Dalibor Chrastina. He and his staff deserve an "A" for their wonderful organization at the beginning of the school year.
