Spring is here! In the spa town the first flowers are coming out

One thing is missing from the best of times. Of course, all in good time.

It is already early evening when Vladan Cerny, director of several spa houses, heads home from work after a busy day.

"Sure, there are more and more guests, but it's quiet here, as it should be in a spa anyway, I always feel the spa's specific atmosphere since I was a child. There's a forest, a theatre, beautiful architecture, a kind of ideal combination of town and countryside, that's Luhačovice," he says, revealing what's really missing so far.

"It's close to the ideal, as soon as the flowers and leaves appear, the most beautiful season starts, fortunately it lasts a long time, about half a year, so we look forward to it," concludes the fleeting encounter.

"The three of us are definitely here for more than the tenth time, it is always beautiful here, of course the greenery, scents and flowers add to it, but we are definitely happy even now," enjoy the spring sunshine on a bench by the colonnade, three friends who have come from Hořovice near Beroun for a week's self-pay stay.

A mother and her young daughter also made their way to the Vincentka hall.

"We've been staying with you, here next door in Uherský Brod, for almost a year. We left here before the war, we live normally in Kiev and we hope to be able to return as soon as possible. We're going to Vincentka to sit and drink healthy mineral healing water," says young mother Anastasia.

The restaurant gardens are also filling up in the spring weather, and the local boutiques are also hopefully expecting better than winter times.

Busy work is also going on at the spa. The Museum of Leoš Janáček and Sam Jurkovič is being built, a planned event, but at the same time reconstruction work is underway on the paved areas in the heart of the spa near the colonnade.

"In this case it is a complaint and we believe it will be finished as soon as possible, people here deserve peace and quiet," adds Vladan Černý.
