'- a nationwide requirement to cover your face with a face mask, respirator or alternative means anywhere in public is being introduced from 00:00 on 19 March;
- special opening hours in shops, restricted to shoppers aged 65 and over, are also in place from 19 March. Others outside of staff cannot be in stores between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm;
- Spa facilities will be severely restricted from March 19. Spas cannot accept new clients for future stays. Those who are staying now can finish their stay on the scheduled date - i.e. the current stays are "catching up";
- positive news includes information that a shipment of respirators and masks will soon be heading to the Czech Republic;
- other welcome news is that a number of government measures worth many billions of CZK are in the pipeline to support entrepreneurs and tradespeople in difficult times and help them and their employees to overcome the current situation;
- due to low load factors, some train connections (selected fast trains and express trains) are limited. The rationale is that these trains in the current situation were very lightly used and only introduced the additional possibility of transmission of disease between passengers and railway staff. Meanwhile, the cancelled services have an alternative in the form of other trains at similar times.
