Summer is at its peak, Luhačovice is full of excited tourists

"Hey, look, here they have a week's stay with half board for seven days for 5600, that's really great," points out right at the beginning of the trip the handsome leader of the expedition, by the way in a very fancy summer dress.

And that's a price that really impresses. The quartet is in no hurry at all, hence the stops at a number of shops and stores.

"Wow, it says Radhošt', what a building," the younger daughter admires the rather monumental structure. "And yes, this is the Alexandria, I know it from my youth," the grandmother points to the iconic hotel of central Luhačovice."And that's the Palace Hotel over there, it's been there for decades too," she shows her granddaughters another landmark.

"Ahoy, we're going to the theatre tonight, won't you come with us," another acquaintance reports. We'll see, the family is walking down Dr. Veselý Street in the direction of the colonnade.

"Hey, Grandma, I'll take you some spa wafers for Grandpa, he likes them," says one of the ladies.

On panels in the busiest part of the spa, they will see panels inviting them to the Stories of the Landscape and Painters of Luhačovice, before seeing on the "wall of fame" who all honored Luhačovice spa with a visit in the past.

"Mom, that's what we learned about, Karel Čapek. And also Vlasta Burian, presidents, Adina Mandlová and others and others," points out one of the attentive girls.

Then they arrive at Lázeňské náměstí.

"Gee, the tennis courts, I'll have to see how they do it here," says another of the sisters, clearly athletic.

"Well, it could use a little fixing up, especially that fence," she ends the little tour at the year-old facility.

"Hey, it's all springs here. And here's the most famous one, Vincent," the grandmother points before entering the beautifully restored hall. So off they go to get a drink.

"Mom, I'll give the ducks a piece of roll, look how many there are," the youngest participant on the trip is looking forward to the spectacle on the bridge.

"Mum, here is the House of Bedřich Smetana, you must remember it from Chetniks from Luhačovice, don't you," takes a picture of the interesting building.

Then they walk past the sometimes unjustly neglected Jestřabí building to the under-construction renovated Sun Baths.

"It must be here somewhere," the Prague walker glances again at the map on her phone and, just in case, at the information panel, and in a few minutes the first part of the walk ends when she finally reaches the Augustinian House.

"Girls and now we are going to the dam, we have enough strength, the heat has passed a little bit," the grandmother makes it clear that the sights and LLL, i.e. the pleasantness of summer Luhačovice, are far from exhausted.

Although the dam is on the Pozlovice property, the right foursome and local patriots understandably don't mind. After all, the dam is called the Luhačovice Dam, isn't it...

Luhačovice wants to protect its historical centre

The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core. The measure is intended to temporarily protect architecturally valuable sites from unregulated construction until the new zoning plan comes into force. The building closure is to apply to the spa colonnade or Jurkovič Avenue towards the Luhačovice dam. In other locations, on the other hand, the city is ready to support new construction.
