Summer season was very successful for Luhačovice "íčko"

The Luhačovice Municipal Information and Tourist Centre evaluates this summer season as very successful. Luhačovice "íčko" was open every day from 8 am to 6 pm, on weekends until 5 pm. In the period from June to September it served a total of 32 thousand visitors.

"Although we had slightly fewer guests this year than in 2023, the difference was only in the tens of visitors. Instead, we handled more phone calls and emails, indicating a growing interest in remote information. Most of the questions were about parking and how to get an E-card," said Terezie Bartoníčková from the Luhačovice City Tourist and Information Centre.

Sundays were often occupied with guided tours of the "Bata Factory and Luhačovice", which attracted many visitors.

"There were also frequent inquiries about the car train ride to the dam, with visitors expressing a wish that the train would run in the afternoon," Bartoníčková continued.

Another interest was in bike paths, maps and connections to the planned route towards Uherský Brod, which is still being worked on.

"Of course, the main attraction of this season was the visit to the Sun Spa area, which we highly recommended to all guests," mentioned Terezie Bartoníčková.

As far as the sale of goods is concerned, the interest was traditionally in tourist cards and postcards. The stalwarts such as Vincentka and Luhačovická herbná remained very popular. "In the future, however, we will definitely add umbrellas, hiking sticks, shampoos, spoons, swimwear and towels, which were in great demand this year," said Terezie Bartoníčková.

The Luhačovice "íček" will be very lively on Thursday, October 24, when the International Information Day is celebrated. " MTIC Luhačovice will celebrate this event with visitors, through gifts and surprising information," Bartoníčková added in conclusion.

Luhačovice wants to protect its historical centre

The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core. The measure is intended to temporarily protect architecturally valuable sites from unregulated construction until the new zoning plan comes into force.
