Those who have known for years the dilapidated premises of the Water Treatment Institute, Sun and River Spa, otherwise one of the masterpieces of the master architect Dušan Jurkovič of the early 20th century, can already allay any fears. Under the care of Luhačovice Spa, using its own financial and state subsidy resources, after three years there is a real gem. It has had a grand opening ceremony, where the granddaughter of the famous architect or Miss World Krystyna Pyszková were present. As well as those who contributed to the revitalization of the buildings. The Sun Baths have now been presented in all their glory!

"The weather just worked out so adequately for us, the sunny day in Sunny Spa really worked out. But let me tell you, it's been quite a thorny road to opening. It makes us all the happier when we look around and directly feel the proverbial genius loci that is evident here. And I would say that the golden age of the spa is symbolically returning, as our ancestors perceived it at the beginning of the last century and the First Republic," said Eduard Bláha, the Chairman of the Board of Lázně Luhačovice a.s..
"It was not built in easy times, in 2021, when we started, there was a second wave of covid, then the Russian aggression on Ukraine, all of this in a way affected the smooth running of the ambitious revitalization. The total cost of the project was CZK 155 million, CZK 71 million from subsidies and the rest from our own resources. I think it was the most challenging construction in the last many years," said the CEO of Lázně Luhačovice a.s. Jiří Dědek added that the exterior beautification was worked on until the last hours before the opening. "Even the roses finally managed to bloom," laughed the spa's patriot.
"As a builder, I can appreciate how much work was done here. Thanks to the Luhačovice Spa we have another real gem in our region and I look forward to the development of activities that are definitely going to take place here." Radim Holiš, the governor of the Zlín Region, praised the Sun Spa.The new director of the Sun Spa is Hana Felcmanová. "I was at the whole construction, I attended the inspection days, so I can say that I know the place well. I feel the beauty, but I know that for me it is actually a new beginning of work. My colleagues and I have challenging, but also joyful tasks ahead of us, just to make sure that everyone who comes here enjoys it in every aspect," says the director.
"It is really beautiful here, I know Luhačovice from numerous visits with my parents and grandparents rather as a child. This is another beautiful gift that Luhačovice people have given themselves," admired the buildings and their neat surroundings Krystyna Pyszková, Miss World, one of the rare guests at the opening ceremony of another pearl of Luhačovice spa.
