Technical services temporarily suspend planting sales

"There has been a lot of interest in this sale from citizens. We have to interrupt it now because these days we are finishing the planting of ornamental beds in the streets of the city. The thing is that we need workers in the field and we are now consuming a large amount of planting material," said Josef Pučalík, director of TS Luhačovice.

To decorate the beds with beautiful annuals, suitable weather is necessary. This year, low temperatures in May affected the planting possibilities, which the seedlings might not be able to withstand. So planting had to start later than in some years. The streets of Luhačovice will also be decorated with a number of flower beds this summer. TS will use up 15,000 seedlings of waxflowers, cannas, salvias and africans to plant them. The predominant colours will be red, yellow, white and blue as a complementary colour.
