The situation in the school district is complicated in Spa City due to organizations moving out of the castle, but the city is addressing it.

The amount of investment in education exceeding 10 million was described by Mayor Marian Ležák: "Since the ZUŠ, which is established by the region, will move to the Sokol Hall in the future, project documentation for its repair will be prepared this year. Subsequently, in cooperation with the Zlín Region, the total reconstruction of the building will be addressed. The Children and Youth House Luhačovice will move from the castle to the former nursery in January 2021. On the other hand, the first and second classes of the primary school will move from there to the main building of the primary school at the same time. The city must therefore invest again. The main building has to be both structurally secured and adapted for the first grade, at a total estimated cost of 6.5 million. In connection with the complete move of the first grade to the main building, we will also retrofit the school kitchen at a cost of 850,000 CZK."

Luhačovice, however, wants much more than just to solve the necessary relocation. "Our goal is also a modern form of education, which is why we are introducing full digitalisation in the primary school. For 1.1 million, all the school classrooms will be equipped with technology. New computers and projectors will be purchased, software licences will be bought and thus the full computerisation of teaching will be introduced. In connection with the new trends, the school environment will be newly supplemented with an educational nature garden for CZK 380,000," the mayor outlined.

"I believe that all organizations involved in the education of youth in the city will be able to develop successfully over time and soon their facilities will be completely stabilized," the mayor concluded.
