The cultural life in Luhačovice is getting richer every year. The upcoming Advent will be no exception

For example, this year's St.Wenceslas Festival was attended by about a thousand people, and the neighborhood festival under the apple tree was also successful, during which Luhačov residents could taste mainly apple delicacies. Saint Martin, who arrived in the spa town on 11 November, was not forgotten. "He arrived in front of the town hall, accompanied by armour bearers, where a priest consecrated St. Martin's wine, and the whole event ended with a fire show," said Luhačovice spokeswoman Hana Srncová.

Now the town is preparing for Advent events. The lighting of the Christmas tree on the first weekend of December will be accompanied by a laser and drum show, a film screening in front of the town hall and a Christmas fair. Children can also look forward to seeing St. Nicholas and his entourage and this year there will also be a devil's disco.

"I am pleased that the number of cultural events has been expanding every year. I'm sure we will meet again this year at the Town Hall for the Mayor's Tea at the Christmas tree lighting or St Nicholas' Day, where I will once again try my hand at being the devil. It is important to highlight the wonderful cooperation between the local associations and the Cultural and Congress Centre. This is what makes Luhačovice what it is," notes Mayor Marian Ležák.

After the New Year, locals and visitors alike can look forward to the 3rd Luhačovice Social Ball, which will take place on 13 January. The popular actor Marek Vašut will once again play the role of the host and a rich program full of great music and performances has been prepared.
