The fundraising event raised over one million crowns

For the first time ever, the Luhačovice - the city of health and fashion event has moved to the outdoor areas of the spa town. And as it was seen, this move was a success for the organizers of the Korunka association. "It's a wonderful event, but it's about ten times bigger than we were used to, so it's logistically very challenging. Within of us are all those mineral springs, so we had to approach it with great sensitivity," said Korunka Luhačovice director Veronika Záhorská.

The busy programme included a concert by Leona Machálek and a fun game for children inspired by the travellers Hanzelka and Zikmund. There was also a stand presentation of four destinations of the Zlín Region or stands with regional specialties. The group of the Luhačovice fringe association Calma also performed with their charleston. The evening performance of the singing judge of the MasterChef Česko competition, Přemek Forejt, was a pleasant diversification. "I am primarily a cook and today I am here in a completely different role, because the band Nebe is having a concert here. And I am here because I am singing one song with them, so I will join in," said singing chef Přemek Forejt with a smile

The event was organised by the Korunka Luhačovice association with the support of many volunteers, most of whom waived their fees for the benefit. "Of course we are reacting to what happened in her South Moravia. About 14 days ago we visited several places and distributed more than 300 thousand on the spot and brought some material aid," continued Veronika Záhorská.

More than one million crowns were raised at this year's Korunka Luhačovice fundraiser. Half of the amount will go to the village of Lužice, which was hit by a tornado in June. "It is a thing that has never been here before, and it has probably surprised the whole of Czechland. I like how everyone in the Cesh stood up to it and helped," added Přemek Forejt.

Part of the money raised will be used to help with the aftermath of the devastating storm in Luhačovice and to help families caring for sick and disabled children.
