So Luhačovice is affected by another government regulation concerning the spa industry. In order to prevent people from congregating at the drinking fountains, the Ministry of Health has decided to close all publicly accessible drinking fountains in the whole country as a precautionary measure from 31 March.

Luhačovice spa companies have thus closed their outdoor facilities. However, the patients of the spa establishments completing their stays are still partially provided with healing treatments using the springs. The situation regarding the springs and public drinking fountains was described on the website of the joint-stock company Lázně Luhačovice, which takes care of the largest part of the spa patients in Luhačovice.
"B
The public outlets of the Vincentka, Ottovka, Dr. Št'astný Spring, Nový Jubilee Spring and the public drinking fountain of Aloisky have been closed. Drinking cure for the guests of Lázně Luhačovice, a.s. is provided, however. In the Palace Hotel, the outlet of the Aloiska spring is accessible inside the gazebo, and children's treatment rooms have access to the drinking cure of the Nová Janovka spring in the Miramonti children's treatment room," the company's website states.
Another provider of spa care in Luhačovice is Lázeňský léčebný dům Praha, which manages the Viola and Marie springs. "The public drinking fountains of the springs were already in operation this year, but since Tuesday morning we have closed them by order of the CIL of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the reason for the closure is indicated by signs on the site. For our patients, we have therapeutic water from these springs available inside our building, where Viola and Marie are piped in," said Anna Kneblová, owner of LLD Praha.
A third spa company operating in Luhačovice and managing one of the springs also strictly complied with the regulation, but did not have to make any effort to do so.
"The St. Joseph spring that we manage has not been opened yet this year, so the drinking fountain by the church and others on the outside of our building just remained out of use," explained Petr Válek, manager of the Miramare Hotel, which is part of the Royal Spa group. He added that people will not lose their mineral water treatment at their facility. "We don't have an indoor drinking fountain in the hotel, but we have another mineral spring brought in for use in therapeutic baths, which are still available to patients," Válek added.
The remaining patients are therefore well taken care of in terms of the therapeutic baths using the springs. Other lovers of Luhačovice's healing springs are now dependent only on Vincentka, which is sold bottled.
