The opening of the springs is knocking at the door!

"We traditionally open the festival with a spectacular Friday night concert - and this year we're really proud! A true music legend, Jiří Korn, will visit Luhačovice and will light up the Rondo Hall with his unmistakable performance," said the town mayor Marian Ležák.

The opening of the springs is one of the most important events that Luhačovice regularly hosts.

"We have been preparing for the organization for many months in advance. I am glad that Luhačovice comes alive during this weekend - visitors and locals enjoy the varied programme we prepare for them every year. We believe that this year the weather will be good and the festivities will go as planned," added Ležák.

The organizing Elektra Cultural and Congress Centre has prepared a rich program for all generations this year.

"On Saturday, visitors can look forward to the popular cortege in period costumes performed by the Luhačovice fringe association Calma, an exhibition of historic vehicles or a colourful fair that lasts until Sunday. One of this year's novelties is the travelling theatre of Víti Marčík, which is known in all corners of our country - because it is unforgettable," said Jarmila Durďová, head of culture at KKC Elektra.

On Sunday, visitors will be treated to the traditional blessing of the springs with the participation of many folklore groups, which is the centerpiece of the entire weekend. The festivities will conclude with a concert by ABBA Universe on Lázeňské náměstí.

"Visitors can also say goodbye with a folk song along with dulcimer music from Milotic in a musical program called Singing at the Amandka Spring,"added Durďová.

This year, there will also be shuttle service and increased parking in the city.
