The Tříkrál collection in Luhačovice and its surroundings brought in over half a million crowns

Even though the sickness of the carolers affected this year's collection and 52 groups of carolers took to the streets, the result is gratifying, according to the organizers of the collection.

"This year there was a big change of leaders who could not come due to illness. And in Luhačovice even one group went completely without children. Thank you very much for your support, cooperation and help in the preparation and holding of the Tříkrálový výběr," said the director of Charity Luhačovice Lenka Semelová.

This year, the proceeds of the Tříkrálový výběr will be used to modernize the facilities and equipment for the social services of Charity Luhačovice, as well as for families with children and the elderly in an unfavourable life situation.

"All funds raised by the collection are sent to a nationwide bank account and then redistributed according to clear rules, as decided by the board of directors of the Charity of the Czech Republic and the Czech Bishops' Conference." added Luhačovice spokeswoman Hana Srncová.
