The Václav Hudeček Academy in Luhačovice is already running at full speed

The Václav Hudeček Academy is a summer masterclass for young violinists who study under the guidance of internationally renowned violinist Václav Hudeček and other musicians.

"On the basis of ability, 18 students, 8 boys and 10 girls, from all over the Czech Republic, aged from 16 to 23, were selected to study. They will study in individual lessons at the Luhačovice Primary School under the guidance of renowned teachers virtuoso Václav Hudeček and professors Jiří Fišer and Lukáš Klánský, who will provide, among other things, accompaniment in lessons, rehearsal rooms and at the Graduation Concerts," said Miroslava Krumpolcová, executive director of the Václav Hudeček Society.

The festival concert part will enrich Luhačovice's cultural summer with five concerts and young musicians will bring more to the Štípa church.

"All students will perform at the three Graduation Concerts in turn, from which a jury consisting of lectors and Eva Hudečková will select the winner," Krumpolcová said.

The winner will be awarded at the final gala concert, will receive a master instrument built for the occasion by Czech master violin maker Jaroslav Kohout worth 150,000 crowns and will have the opportunity to perform with Václav Hudeček or the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra in Zlín.

"In the twenty-seven years of the Academy's existence, five hundred students have passed through Luhačovice. Msome are soloists on world stages, others are professors, teachers or players in renowned orchestras," concluded Miroslava Krumpolcová.
