In 2022, the proceeds of the Tříkrál collection in Luhačovice exceeded the half-million mark by several thousand. "Charita Luhačovice thanks you very much for the kind welcome of the carolers and for all the contributions to this collection," said Luhačovice spokeswoman Hana Srncová.
The Tříkrálová Collection is the largest charity fundraising event in the Czech Republic. Every year more than 70,000 volunteers are involved in its organisation and the running of the carols, collecting tens of millions of crowns. In 2022, for example, the proceeds of the collection amounted to more than CZK 141 million.
People have the opportunity to contribute to the Three Kings' Day collection all year round, but the Three Kings' Day caroling with charity boxes in the streets traditionally takes place in the first fourteen days of January. Today, as in the past, the Trick-or-Treaters spread God's blessing and the message of merciful love among the people, asking for donations for people in need.
"The Trick-or-Treat collection is also a festival of solidarity. It mediates intergenerationalr encounters and cohesion. Even in a short moment, it allows us to experience a sense of joy and mutuality, and this is its greatest mission and strongest message," concluded Hana Srncová.

Luhačovice wants to protect its historical centre
The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core. The measure is intended to temporarily protect architecturally valuable sites from unregulated construction until the new zoning plan comes into force. The building closure is to apply to the spa colonnade or Jurkovič Avenue towards the Luhačovice dam. In other locations, on the other hand, the city is ready to support new construction.
