This is how the phenomenal violin virtuoso Václav Hudeček will spend the first half of August in the spa town, where the 26th edition of the Václav Hudeček Academy will take place from Monday 1 August. While the summer days will be marked by a high work pace, when the famous musician will be passing on his rich experience to young talents during lessons, the evenings will belong to classical music concerts.
On the occasion of the violin academy, the festival Festival of Music in Luhačovice, which will celebrate its 15th birthday this year, will also take place at the same time. Seven unique musical evenings await not only the spa guests, but also the Tuesday screening of the film The Voice of Love, inspired by the life story of singer Céline Dion.
The Luhačovice Music Festival will open tonight with an opening concert featuring last year's winner of the Academy, Marek Pavlica, together with the master Václav Hudeček. The audience can look forward to the next winners, Iva Svobodová Kramperová and Jakub Junko, on Saturday 6 August at a concert aptly titled Returns of the Winners.
A day later, the Pilgrimage Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Štípa will ring with the concert Beautiful Buildings with Beautiful Music, which will once again feature Václav Hudeček and Mark Pavlica, accompanied by Pavel Svoboda, Maria Svobodová and Veronika Kaiserová.
Next Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, the Spa Theatre in Luhačovice will host three Graduation Concerts featuring the graduates of this year's Václav Hudeček Academy, accompanied by Lukáš Klánský on piano.
This year's academy will culminate on Friday 12 August with a big Gala Concert, where we will learn the names of this year's winners. A prize of a master violin will be awarded to the best student, as determined by the instructors themselves.
