So, gentlemen, have you packed your cases and tennis gear?

BERDYCH: I'm packed every day as far as tennis is concerned, I still enjoy the game very much, that's not a problem. Maybe it's a pity that I'll have to go home right after the tournament, we're expecting a special visitor, my son Tomas is coming, so unfortunately I probably won't see the final concert at the Spa Theatre.

LIBERDA: The washing machine rattles a lot in our house too, I play singles three times a week, doubles more rarely, but I like it here. I always look forward to a concert as well, as well as a nice social evening, impeccable people, or the pool and spa at the Alexandria Hotel.

Are you the defending champions, in terms of form?

BERDYCH: As far as the frequency of practice units, it shouldn't drop much. But I know very well that many opponents are grinding their teeth, surprisingly many journalists are playing very well, like Honza Dudek, Robert Heč, Martin Břenek, Josef Kvasnička and others.

LIBERDA: We always win in even years, 2018, 2020 and 2022, it's time to break the tradition and win in an even year. But my partner is right, the opponents, far from being journalists, are getting better and better, we will fight as hard as we can and we are looking forward to seeing everyone.

Does it also make you happy that there are a lot of beautiful women gathering at the Luhačovice tournament?

BERDYCH: It's a wonderful refreshment in a beautiful setting. One just mustn't notice it too much during the game.

LIBERDA: I can keep my eyes on them. Just like on the balls. And thanks to the organizers for setting it up like this.

Luhačovice wants to protect its historical centre

The town of Luhačovice is planning a building closure in the area of the historic core. The measure is intended to temporarily protect architecturally valuable sites from unregulated construction until the new zoning plan comes into force. The building closure is to apply to the spa colonnade or Jurkovič Avenue towards the Luhačovice dam. In other locations, on the other hand, the city is ready to support new construction.
