Where are the electric car charging stations in Luhačovice?

The only place where you can charge your EV in Luhačovice at the moment, in 2021, is the quite luxurious Spa Hotel Augustinian House, about a kilometre northeast of the town centre, towards the dam. The AC charger is operated by E.ON, has an input of 22 kW and is type 2 (Mennekes). The socket is located in the hotel car park so that it can be used by guests and any customers. So while charging, you can have a snack at the hotel, a swim in their spa, and even a swim in the nearby dam (500 m). The Augustinian house itself is a former monastery and a beautiful place. Their spa is well worth a visit. If you come in winter (from October to March), we also recommend the local sauna rituals. Which is like an organized stay in the sauna with various heating and cooling processes, including stretching exercises.

But the Augustinian Hotel is not just some commercial glitz.

It has everything that goes with modern wellness luxury. Yurt meditation, mindfullness/mindfulness meditation, yoga classes, etc. The Augustinian Order is a community formed by the merger of several hermitage groups. Funny thing is that it split off into the Augustinian Oblates (hermits) and the Augustinian Divine groups. They'll explain more on the spot.

The spa doesn't have to be 19th century style. The Augustinian Garden is absolutely on trend for 21st century luxury relaxation.

But there's no other charger

The city could probably work on that. Tourism is going to get more and more electrified. And electricity is especially suited to a spa town. For example, we inquired about the popular "bathhouse" hotel, Spa & Wellness Alexandria, but they don't have their own parking lot, their guests park in the city's public garages, so parking at an outlet is out of the question.

The only other place we found was a semi-private charger at Milena Malatova's (+420608772254), 230V, 16A at 819 Slunná Street, Luhačovice. We couldn't reach it, but it may be useful as an emergency.

What if my car breaks down

In addition to the usual assistance lines, we have only the Bosch Autoelektro Šafář service in Frišták, which is still a short drive outside of Zlín. Bosch is a supplier of much of the technology for electric cars of all makes.

As for quality car assistance, it is ideal to deal with it as part of your breakdown insurance, where it is included in the price of quality policies. For a comparison of breakdown insurance, its parameters and especially its prices, visit the online service Calculator.com It's not a manipulative calculator, but a tool for long-term financial management.

Are there chargers nearby?

The biggest options are of course in Zlín (20 km north), where you'll find several ČEZ charging stations. For example in OC Zlaté jablko. You can also find 2x E.ON and there is also a Tesla charger in Zlín (of course not a Supercharger, just two 14kW). Almost as good as Zlín is Uherské Hradiště.

What about the nearest Superchargers?

Just across the border (only 50 km), in Trencin, we have a Supercharger Tesla coming in 2022. Until then, only Brno (120 km) where there is now room for four 150 kW cars). Ionity is now building a charging station on the motorway, just outside Breclav, or in Ladná(100 km). Will Ionity bring us its graceful 350 kW of power there?
