Models of competition cars and historical artefacts from the 50-year history of Barumka are the main theme of the six-month exhibition in Elektra Gallery in Luhačovice. The exhibition has received official support from the organizers of Barum Czech Rally Zlín.
Part of the collection, which maps the history and present of automobile competitions in the Czech Republic and abroad, is exhibited by collector Oldřich Bartoníček from Luhačovice. He has been devoted to his hobby for nearly 20 years.
In addition to the models themselves, which show hundreds of hours of patient work, it will also be possible to look into the 50-year history of the prestigious Barum Czech Rally Zlín.
"We managed to borrow historical posters, programs, medals from the archives of the event organizers. It is with the permission of the official organizer that calendars, the book 50 Years of the Story of Barum Czech Rally Zlín and other promotional items related to this popular competition, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2021, will be available for purchase at the exhibition," the organisers of the exhibition said on a Facebook event for the event.
You can get a glimpse into the past of one of the most popular contests in the country every day from Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds from the voluntary entrance fee will be donated to the Korunka pomáhá account.
